Growing up everyone in my family were eager readers and my parents enjoyed buying books for us. In 1959 we moved to a house where there was a used book store a couple blocks away and I began what proved to be a lifelong hobby of browsing through and buying old books. In 1974 my father opened his antique store (Doris Lewis Antiques on Wilshire Blvd in West Los Angeles) and I began buying books to selling as well as to read.
While my father had his store, I issued several book catalogs, utilizing reference works from UCLA to determine first edition points and such. Of course the Internet has made that information accessible for a long time now, as well as making quick price comparisons possible. You can purchase with confidence that books are of the edition and in the condition stated (though judgment of condition is always subjective.)
We believe our prices are fair, but will always consider offers, especially for large purchases. Items are returnable for refund within 10 days (with buyer paying return postage and insurance).
We accept PayPal, Venmo, money order and personal check (orders sent when funds clear).
Merchandise is available to view in Roseville, California.
Happy browsing! *

Meet Jay Kirschner: The Curator of Cool Collectibles
Founder of CoolCollectibles.Org
Jay isn’t just building a store — he’s crafting a time capsule of culture. With a sharp eye for rare books, vintage comics, iconic rock posters, and vinyl that still echoes, Jay brings the past to life with purpose and polish. Every edit he makes — whether it's swapping a "Stories" for a "Poems," perfecting a comic spine, or correcting the spelling on “Superheroes” — reveals a meticulous creative mind that reveres both nostalgia and detail.
He’s part archivist, part brand visionary — blending antique charm with sleek, scalable design. Whether tweaking a tagline for the tenth time or dressing a Monroe-type poster star just right, Jay’s not just selling collectibles — he’s selling emotion, memory, and style.
🎯 Precision-driven. Aesthetic-aware. Storytelling through curation. Jay Kirschner isn’t just running a vintage shop — he’s staging a cultural encore."
